Fabulous! You won't be disappointed!
Our first visit to Cockleshell Cottage and was certainly not disappointed. The cottage is equipped to an amazing standard with everything you could need. The many thoughtful extras provided by Sue & Simon made for an incredibly special stay. Cockleshell Cottage is conveniently located to enjoy all that Marazion has to offer along with the most spectacular view of St Michael's Mount. Sitting watching the coming and going of the tide, the walkers (& waders!) navigating the causeway, the daily visit from the seal and the wading birds looking for a tasty morsel as the tide goes out - pure relaxation!

Excellent as ever
Our visit was excellent, nothing better than sitting on the patio watching the waves swelling against the rocks, it is very relaxing. The sun shines on the Mount giving many different vistas. The cottage is ideally located in Marazion handy for the buses and shops. Easy to get buses to St Ives, lands End Porthleven Mousehole and many more. Sue and Simon continue to be an excellent hosts. Serenity across the bay
I had the most amazing time in Cockleshell Cottage. Sue greeted me and gave me the rundown and there was a delicous three course meal waiting for me. It was the perfect welcome after a long drive. The Cottage has the most stunning view of St Michael's Mount and has everything you could ask for inside. The views are from both levels and you can lie in your Four poster bed and look out at the activity in the bay. Shops are a minute's walk and access to the beach and roads are easy to navigate. It was the most special week I think I've ever had anywhere. It was better than I imagined and I had huge expectations. What a find!
The owners had thought of everything to make our stay at Cockleshell Cottage as cosy and comfortable as could be. There was a delicious meal prepared for us on arrival, which made us feel so welcome. The cottage was warm, very clean, with a modern bath/shower room, a comfortable bed and superbly equipped. The view is truly mesmerising - We loved watching the tide come and go over the causeway to St Michaels Mount. A few minutes walk takes you onto the beach and all the wonderful places to visit in West Cornwall are an easy drive away. For us? Perfection. Already booked for next year, which says it all. Our happy place
This was our first visit to Cockleshell Cottage and it did not disappoint. The view is amazing and we love the ever changing scenery as well as watching the causeway walkers and waders and the boats going back and forwards to the island. The quirky upside down property has everything that you could wish for, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, wine fridge and microwave. The four poster was both comfortable and cosy, a jacuzzi bath and rainfall shower were in the large bathroom. The little extras like dressing gowns and slippers made it feel like home from home. The arrival goodies left by the owners were a lovely surprise and enjoyed by us both. Marazion is our happy place and I am sure we will be back visiting again next year.

Wonderful cottage with fantastic hosts
Just returned after spending a week in this magical cottage . Sue and Simon , the owners, really have put so much thought into ensuring every detail is perfect and high quality to ensure that like us , you will relax immediately you arrive - they even provide a delicious home cooked dinner on arrival plus Cornish cream tea and wine . The views are simply magical every morning we woke we smiled seeing it and have re booked for next two years . Sue kept in touch throughout our trip giving great recommendations where to go during day n night - really above and beyond. Cockleshell Cottage is ideally located on the water’s edge, with excellent views of the Mount across the water from either the balcony or the lounge. The Cottage has everything in it that you could wish for to make your holiday memorable. Sue is the perfect hostess, giving helpful information about restaurants and Taxi companies. Most magical view in Cornwall with the best hospitality
Shh don't tell anyone, we think we found the best place to stay in the whole of Cornwall. Uninterrupted ocean views through huge floor to ceiling windows, privacy to unwind, relax and recuperate, spotlessly clean, well equipped and very spacious for two and our four legged friend. A lovely bathroom with a great shower and spa bath with super fluffy towels, a super comfy bed with hotel quality sheets and pillows. As others have written a meal is waiting for you in the fridge to pop in the oven after a long journey, which was especially welcome and unheard of with self catering. It was great to be able to unload at the end of the lane a very short walk from the property and to be able to park nearby. Thank you Sue for being an amazingly kind, generous and thoughtful host. What a wonderful cottage ! Spectacular view, amazing cottage with everything you can think of to feel like home at once. Very nice owners, a delicious home made meal and other great goodies with a lovely card are waiting for you when you arrive and make you feel very welcome . The floor heating in the beautiful bathroom is brilliant, the bed very comfortable and the livingroom just outstanding..... Simply amazing
Cockleshell cottage, right on the sea front opposite St Michael's Mount is just amazing. Such a peaceful relaxing place to stay with beautiful views. All the mod cons you could ever need, full kitchen, bathroom and Sky TV package for the evenings also a parking space. I think our pooch (Alfie) didn't want to leave. Only thing you have to have a good sensible dog due to cliff the cottage is on. Sue provided a beautiful meal for the first evening with some added treats and tipple which so nice and such a lovely touch. We would 100% recommend this place and would go back again.

Gem of a cottage with fabulous views
Cockleshell is a wonderful little cottage with (I think) one of the best views in England — right opposite St Michael's Mount. It is extremely well-equipped and everything is of very good quality. The property seems to me to be extremely well-managed, with the owners and house-keeper being very thoughtful. The complementary meal on the first night was a lovely touch, and the extensive welcome package was better than any I'd had elsewhere. The cottage is well-maintained and, apart from a couple of minor issues, it is immaculate. The bathroom is particularly good. Being dog-friendly was also a huge bonus. Cockleshell cottage...Fab holiday!
What can I say?! This was even more special than I was expecting!. The hosts Sue and Simon went above and beyond to provide extra provisions. For example there was a home cooked meal given to us on our arrival.and desert. Wine beers and chocolate treats. Not to mention the cornish clotted cream and cornish butter in the fridge. Then on our leaving day Sue gave us the option of leaving later in the day. Which was such a Treat! And gave us cornish pasties and a keyring gift. The place itself was perfectly decorated and had everything we could possibly need. The views were spectacular. And the location is ideal for walks on the beach. Perfect romantic wedding anniversary!
What can we say? This is the best view ever, which is always changing with the tides, the weather and the visitors on the beach. The accommodation is luxurious, very comfortable and handy for food shopping, visitors attractions or just a walk on the beach or to The Mount. It is also quiet and relaxing. The weather was mixed but we could still enjoy the wonderful vista with a tea or coffee and watch visitors paddling, walking to The Mount or boarding the boats. The owner is considerate and we felt very welcome with a home cooked meal upon arrival which eased us into holiday mode straight away, especially after a long drive. A lot of thought is given to visitors comforts and the cottage is very well equipped. Just wait until you have tried the living room lounger! Delightful Cottage with a spectacular view
We arrived after a long day travelling and the delicious meal waiting for us was a Godsend. This was our first time in Cockleshell Cottage and we were so impressed. It is beautifully furnished with so many artistic touches and very well equipped. We enjoyed the most spectacular uninterrupted view over St Michaels Mount. The setting is private with easy access to parking and to all the local shops and restaurants. Our dog enjoyed it just as much as we did with Dog-friendly beaches near to hand. You've arrived - look no further!
This cottage and its owner, Sue, fulfils every expectation and more. The views are spectacular. Everything is to a very high spec with under floor heating in the bathroom which was brilliant in December. Sue left us a meal on our first night together with a hoard of goodies together with a lovely welcoming card. Great cottage, amazing views and a super location.
We enjoyed a wonderful week at Cockleshell Cottage. It's a very convenient place to stay, and the cottage is beautiful - the views from the living room are simply stunning, and no effort has been spared to ensure our stay was very comfortable. Sue was there to greet us when we arrived and provided us with a delicious home cooked meal for our first night, which was very welcome after a very long journey. The cleaning and covid precautions were thorough and the cottage was in excellent condition, meeting all our needs. Perfect Place To Unwind
Cockleshell Cottage is furnished and decorated to a high standard. Having the lounge on the upper level is inspired to make the most of the dramatic views across to The Mount and beyond to Mousehole. The rocky foreshore is a delight for bird watchers, rock poolers and fishers. After a 5 hour drive the delicious dinner and dessert with wine provided was very welcoming. We enjoyed walking the coast path across Long Rock Beach to Penzance. Sue, the owner, provided us with another delicious packed lunch for the long drive home. Perfect!
